  What is Podiatry?

Podiatry is a field of Medicine that focuses on the treatment of foot and ankle conditions.  Podiatrists have a Bachelors degree prior to going to Podiatry School.  Podiatry school consists of 4 years of medical and surgical training resulting in a Degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM).  The Podiatrist may then specialize in Primary Podiatric Care, Orthopedics, Surgery, Wound Care, Pediatrics or Geriatrics.
